Response to the Roe v. Wade Decision:

As an organization that partners with parents, caregivers, and young children, we strongly condemn the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn Roe v. Wade. We know firsthand the critical importance of providing young children with the strongest early start. It is devastating to witness the systematic evisceration of individual autonomy and basic human rights. In order to protect families, we must create the economic and social conditions, particularly for parents and caregivers, that allow them to thrive. We also recognize that this decision will have a disproportionate effect on individuals experiencing poverty, people of color, women, and the LGBTQIA+ community. The freedom to determine if and when you have children, and with whom, is essential to shaping the rest of our lives. We will continue to organize and fight for liberation, including equitable access to reproductive care and the ongoing support of parents, caregivers, and young children.
