What a day it was! Over 700 people joined us on Burrows Street to dance with their friends, decorate tote bags and make bracelets, plant vegetable seeds and learn about gardening, make and trade pieces of art, and learn about the incredible Greenway and community green spaces opening in the Portola.
Thank you to Senator Scott Wiener and Supervisor Hillary Ronen for joining our Executive Director, Yensing Sihapanya, on stage and sharing their words about the resilience and strength of our community.
We are so grateful to all of the staff, volunteers, musicians, artists, community partners, sponsors, neighbors, and businesses that made Bloom Shaboom possible. And thank you for joining us!
If you joined us at Bloom Shaboom and would like to learn more about Family Connections’ programs, volunteer opportunities, employment, or events, send us a message or stop by one of our centers! We offer tours of both our Excelsior and Portola locations, where you can meet our amazing teachers and family support staff, see our classrooms and meeting spaces, and view our programs in action.
