We are recruiting a “can do” Associate Director who thinks and acts strategically and has solid experience in program management, administration and operations, including the proficiency needed to direct finance/grants, human resources, facilities/safety, and compliance. The ideal candidate will have senior management experience in nonprofit organizations and experience in the field of Early Childhood Education.
The Associate Director reports to the Executive Director and is a member of the senior management team. The Associate Director will directly supervise three managers and maintain oversight of up to twenty staff members, including regular and on-call staff. Working in close collaboration with the Executive Director, the Associate Director plays a key role in carrying-out agency-wide initiatives, including assessment, development and implementation of organization-wide policies, systems and programs. The Family Support Manager plans, manages, and implements the agency’s annual program activities. Working closely with his/her supervisor this position will collaborate with internal and external staff to ensure our program are high quality and meet the needs of the families and community. Pre-K Teacher This position leads the preschool program and will report directly to the Site Supervisor. The teacher works closely with his/her co-teacher to develop and nurture each child’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive skills necessary for kindergarten readiness. Early Childhood Program Manager This position will be working from our Excelsior location. This is a critical position that manages our First Steps Program in the mornings (M-F, 9:45am-12:30pm) and our Next Steps Program in the afternoon (M-F, 1-3:15pm). This position will also supervise and manage our new preschool program that is scheduled to open in 2019. The CPDI program is recognized by the San Francisco Department of Public Health as the model for parent/caregiver and child bonding groups, as well caregivers support and infants/toddlers learning. Children ages 0-3 gain social, emotional, and cognitive skills, while parents/caregivers — who are required to remain on site with the children — expand their ability to nurture safe families and raise healthy, successful children.
